Q: How do I schedule a New Patient appointment with Dr. Hart?
All prospect patients must do a phone screening interview with our staff to determine appropriateness for an in office assessment appointment. Phone screening hours are 9:30-3:30 Monday through Friday. Call (253)
The goal of psychiatric care with Dr. Hart is that the care be appropriate to your condition and reasonable to use. Your first appointment is scheduled for 50 minutes to assess your needs, please be prepared to answer a lot of questions. This assessment appointment is to determine your diagnosis and hopefully come to a mutually agreed upon treatment plan. If medications are to be prescribed issues related to specific options of medications, general side effects and concerns will be discussed. Once treatment is established a follow up appointment will be scheduled approximately 14-21 days out to determine how you are doing on your medication. However it is important to report any medication problems immediately to the office. Medication management appointments are approximately 15 minutes in length. Once you and Dr. Hart have found a treatment regime that is working well for you, office monitoring visits normally decrease in frequency. Between scheduled visits, if ever there are other problems it is always a good idea to contact the office immediately and advise the staff of the problem.
Without 48 business hours notice before your appointment, missed appointments will be charged to the patient. Be advised your insurance will not cover the cost of a missed appointment. In case the failure to come to an appointment is due to immediate illness or weather problems the missed appointment charges will be waived.
Premera Blue Cross
Cash patients are required to pay in full prior to each visits
It is normally not a good idea and could be dangerous to abruptly stop medications that are prescribed, please do not stop you medication, unless advised to by Dr. Hart. If refills are needed please contact your pharmacy, they will send us a request for a refill.
The lost of a prescription is taken seriously! If a prescription is lost please contact our office, if the prescription is rewritten there is normally a fee.
